History 3CW3
Taken Term II 2009-2010 with Dr. Peter Cook. Some overlap if you've taken other Canadian history courses like History 2T03, but more focused on imperial projects, and the interactions between the French, English and Natives. I liked the Prof, fair marker, my only criticism is that he was slow in returning work and replying to emails.
Course Description:
"A thematic exploration of the interactions of European and North American cultures and societies in the northern half of the continent, with special attention to the fate of European imperial projects, ideologies and institutions in the new world."
Course Breakdown:
Participation (Group and Online): 10%
Essay Proposal/Annotated Bibliography (4-5 pages): 10%
Article Review (4-5 pages): 10%
Essay (10 pages): 35% Final Exam: 35%
