Honours Bio vs Honours Biophys
Does anyone know what the major differences between these 2 are? I did some research but I would like to know what you guys thought.

Also which would you guys consider to have a lighter workload, and more room for electives. For example, I heard biophys has so many labs that you don't have any free time.

Just by looking at the undergraduate calendar, Biology has about twice the amount of electives as BioPhys (36 vs. 21)
I would say BioPhys is more workload since it's a specialization and if I recall correctly the admittance average was around 10.

Look at the required courses in upper years to get a sense of the difference.

If you're looking for an easier ride with lots of free time and elective space, you should prob go with bio.

biophysics is a lot of work about nothing.

if you want to breeze through university, take biology.

I thought Biophys was Honours Biology, Physiology Specialization? I haven't heard of a Biophysics major program.

Nope. The Biophysics program is relatively new, but it's been around for a few years. It replaces the Honours Physics (Biophysics) specialization or whatever it was called before.

Biophys is what a lot of people call the Physiology specialization. I am in it, there are a lot of required 3rd year courses that are quite challenging but I absolutely love it so it more depends on your interests.

If you guys were to choose between the two for yourselves, which one would you choose and why?
