Honours Life Science
Is it possible for a student in the 3-year B.Sc Life sciences program to switch into the 4-year Honours Life Sciences program for 3rd year? If possible, what is the overall grade point needed for this transfer?

If there is a website for this information, that would be very helpful!

Yes - you need a 6.0 overall average.

If you're in 3rd year right now graduating in June then you need to see an academic advisor ASAP because there's paper work that needs to be filled out that will put a notation on your transcript that you want to be reviewed to go into Honours. If you don't meet the 6.0 you will be forced to graduate with a BSc.

you pretty much go there and tell them to transfer you into honors, given that you have 6.0 or above average (cumulative). But make sure that you do it before September, not sure if they can do that mid-year.

ALSO theres a loop! if during your third year, you find that you are not going to meet the 6.0 average then drop a class in second semester that way they cannot graduate you and you can return and take a full course load in 4th year (and take an extra class or a class 4th year summer to make up for the dropped course in 3rd year). This will buy you more time to raise your average that way by the end of 4th year you will have the average you need and will graduate with honours
