Honours Music, Bac. Music
Alright so I got into Honours Music, Bachelor of Music which makes me really happy cause that's what I wanted yay!

So I know I have to register next week (June 16th) for my courses.
I looked up which courses I definitely need to take for next year, but I'm kinda confused with the whole electives aspect of it.
In first year I know I had to complete 33 units, which also included 12 units of electives.

http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...nt/pg1394.html

this is the page I keep staring at to try and figure out.
I completed 12 electives in first year but at the bottom it says I need to complete 30 units of electives.
Do my first 12 count towards those?

Also, I'm kinda confused as to whether or not I HAVE to complete a certain amount of units 2nd year just like I had to in 1st year.
Do I take those 30 units of electives that I have to complete and split them up between the next three years I'm in school?

I'm just really confused as to what I do, so if anyone could help me out that would be amazing!

So for second year you have to take MUSIC 2B03 (Romantic and 20th Century Music History), 2BB3 (Medieval Music History), 2CC3 (Harmony), 2D03 (Keyboard Harmony), 2E06 (Lessons), 2G03 (Ensemble), and 2H03 (Analysis).

Your first 12 units of electives from first year count towards your Music I, so they don't count as part of your 30 units of electives. You don't have to take a certain amount of electives in second year, but you have room for 6 (unless you overload). And yes, you spread the 30 units of electives over the rest of your schooling. Keep in mind if you're doing a minor, you want to make sure you take enough of your elective units in your minor to complete it.

Good luck!
