Hospitality services - need more different choices
IS it just me or do you also think our school needs more food choices. Other universities such as York have way more. And after staying at Mac for 1 year , you get tired of the food there, we need more choices such as Wendey's, a Pizza Pizza which also serves other things such as wings, etc. instead of just 3 or 4 options of pizza slices.

Well they have pizza pizza and restaurants around, but you have to go a bit off campus for a bit

I don't think having more fast food options is what they need.
If they're gonna expand, it should be healthier food. There's a ton of fast food restaurants around campus, and a lot of the food served as part of hospitality services is also stuff that can be found at fast food places (burgers, fries, etc).
Also, if it's an actual chain, such as Pizza Pizza or Wendy's, it's not run through hospitality services - the chain leases the space and/or signs an agreement with McMaster. The most Mac could do is ask them if they're willing to set up shop on campus.
Personally I really don't think it's necessary.
Besides, there's a Wendy's down the street.

There were many options, I just chose to eat the same thing cause it was the best "value" and "health". Have you actually eaten at all the places on campus

Mac is a small landlocked campus. Why use limited space for Wendy's when there's one five minutes off campus? Take a quick walk down main and you'll find everything you could ever want. Or you could make your own food using ingredients, whatever those are lol.

I wouldn't say other Universities are that much better. Western is way worse when it comes to food selection in my opinion even though it has the big chains. There are plenty of great places at/near mac, plus the chains.
Also generally when chains operate on campuses they have a slightly limited selection, sometimes elevated prices and are staffed by hospitality workers. Selling food on campus is a big business. The University wants all the revenue.

We definitely need healthier choices rather than more junk.

I agree with you. Sometimes you just want to eat wings and pizza, damn!
And Mac does have some healthy food options.
They have an all vegetarian cafe and their own garden which they occasionally sell campus fresh grown fruits/veggies.
Plus they're increasing food prices so woo. One more thing to look forward to....

I've said this before, but vegetarian =/= healthy.
I'm not saying that EVERYTHING at Bridges is unhealthy, but many of the options aren't as healthy as you would think, loaded with salt and/or deep fried and/or tons of oil/fat.
