Hotmail not working
Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem, or knows a solution.

Whenever I type in hotmail.com ( or any of the variations from windows live etc) It loads a blank screen and says done at the bottom.

This is in firefox, chrome and IE8.

It was working last night and I havnt changed anything

I just want to check my email:he lp:

Yeah, I know, I just thought I'd suggest it. Also, my hotmail account seems to open fine.

When encountering this type of problem
1. Change browsers
2. Change computers
3. Check with other people who use the service

If both of these changes don't let you access a webpage, its your internet connection or account

Just some more random suggestion:
1. try making sure you have functional java, since the hotmail page runs on javascript.
2. do you have some sort of internet security program that you could have blocked the site with? If so, fix that.

I just have to say that Java and Javascript are two completely different things.

So is Java the program medium while Javascript is the language?

No no, they are actually completely separate languages.

Javascript is a scripting language that is embedded into HTML pages and cannot be used anywhere else. Most of the things on a web page that are dynamically moving, animating, or changing is most likely Javascript. Most websites depend on Javascript.Javascript is used for things like the Macinsiders menu at the top.

Java applications are standalone. This means you can run Java apps without the need for a web browser. Java is much faster than Javascript but not everyone supports Java in their browsers. Java is used for bigger applications such as a game, or a video player, etc..

justinsftw says thanks to snaps for this post.
