Aha so from the looks of it, commuting isn't going to be as bad as I thought it would be though I would have to keep one thing in mind and that is not to over sleep on the bus because that would truly suck and I believe the bus driver doesn't wake you up either am I right? :L

I am not sure if they do on the go bus...but you can always set the alarm to go off at a certain time and then either:
1. hold on to it while you sleep
2. put it in your pocket..that way you don't wave to worry about not waking up on time..
So, if it takes you 45 minutes to get to mac...time it so that it goes off in 35 minutes

Dont worry about over sleeping
U'll get used to it. Some how u'll instinctively manage to wake up when u get to mac. At least thts my case.

Commuting has been good, the Go bus service is well oil machine. No issue so far!

If you sit next to someone else going to Mac then just get them to wake you when you get there. Or just take aisle seat so they Have to wake you :b

Do you know how much a monthly pass would be?

I've been commuting from sauga to mac for 2 years, I've developed the amazing ability to instantly fall asleep on a GO bus. Not helpful when you need to stand because they are out of seats.

I'd say make a lot of friends on campus and find something to do between the gaps. Sometimes I just leave early if I don't really care missing a couple classes (of course it depends on the classes).

just to add.
ive been told it works out to be slightly cheaper with the Presto card system. Id personally go with monthly passes, which gives u unlimited rides. Plus never know when u might wanna run back home during the breaks incase u forget something.

You had to stand? Wow then that means there are a lot of commuters.

It depends on what time you're going on the bus. If there's a Friday night exam that ends, say...9 p.m. and it's in a large course such as Chemistry, chances are that the bus is going to be pretty full. The same goes for buses that arrive at Mac around 9-10 on Monday mornings. The reason for those are the people on res that are going home/back from home on the weekends.

It depends on which bus you take but generally they could run from 5 am to 12 am, so there's always one available.

I used to have to take a really early go bus from york on mondays which took around 1.5 hours. That was not fun and I definitely don't recommend doing that if you don't have to but otherwise commuting isn't that bad.
