Unfortunately, there are no changes that can be made to just move one of the courses in the middle of those days. Moving one would force you to move all the others and undo the changes. So you can have longer days with lots of breaks, or shorter days with less breaks. Keep in mind that every one of the slots for the changes have to be available, or none of this will work.

I can tell you from experience that having four classes in a row, even when one of them is a 2/3 hour one, is definetly possible without a break. 10 minutes is lots of time between classes to grab a meal, and then you can usually eat it in class. Unless it's a really small class size. I would always grab some sandwich or on some occasions even pizza. You decide what you think would be better for you.

The only thing here I can think of is a double-edged sword. You can move the 3 physics classes up to 1:30 so you finish earlier, but you will have to take your chem lab which is every other week on Friday after your tutorial. Your choice.
Switch Chem 1E03 lab to L29,30,39, or 40
Switch Physics 1D03 to C01

Term 2:
Switch ECON 1B03 to C03
ENGINEER 1P03 tutorial to T09 or 10
Physics 1E03 to C02
ENGINEER 1C03 to C08
ENGINEER 1C03 lab to L18

This will end all of your days earlier including switching that pesky Friday afternoon tutorial. It will also start your days later with only Friday having an 8:30 class, and Tuesday having it as well but only every other week.

Your Tuesday isn't bad at all, only 3 courses...unless "wow" means that it's so good. I'm not sure :S

Hope all of that helps!
Hey mitch, I've been playing around with my schedule again after considering your advice and tips. Thanks again for them. Here's what modifications I've done after using your suggestions. Yes, most of them are your suggestions. Could you have a look and tell me what you think?

Term 1:
Move: CHEM 1E03 C01 to CHEM 1E03 C03
Move: CHEM 1E03 L21 to CHEM 1E03 L43/L44
Move: PHYSICS 1D03 C06 to PHYSICS 1D03 C01

This gives me a much more compact schedule with each day ending a bit earlier except for EOW for the Chem Lab and Physics Lab in the afternoon, but I still finish at 5:30 which is still good. Thursday will be a heavier day if I have the physics lab in the afternoon. But when I think about it, it's only three lectures and two labs as opposed to 4 lectures and a lab. I'm not sure which is better but the first one sounds better. Haha. I'll have to grab a little snack between classes, I guess.

Term 2:
Move: PHYSICS 1E03 C03 to PHYSICS 1E03 C02
Move: ENGINEER 1C03 C06 to ENGINEER 1C03 C08
Move: PHYSICS 1E03 L26/T26 to PHYSICS 1E03 L05 or 06 07 08/T05 or 06 07 08
Move: ENGINEER 1P03 T15 to ENGINEER 1P03 T09/10
Move: ENGINEER 1C03 L17 to ENGINEER 1C03 L18

- Most likely will move: ECON 1B03 C04 to ECON 1B03 C03

This allows me to start my day a little later and also ending it earlier as well if I decide to move ECON 1B03 from C04 to C03. For Tuesday, I moved the tutorial/lab from the morning to the afternoon. I'm not sure which is better, a morning lab or an afternoon one? I don't know, but I'd rather start later in the day. 12:30 might be a bit too late, but it's sure an upgrade from 8:30. I'm not really a morning person so.. I don't know, I'll decide. Thursday is now going to be a really heavy day, 4 lectures and a lab.
Thanks alot. =)

Hey Talon89,

Those modifications look great! Everything works fine. Personally I would rather the morning lab for second term to get it over with. But if you'd rather sleep in and do it later, that's fine too. Hope everything's available for you!

timetable help
Hey,

Umm, I was wondering if somebody could have a look at my timetable and provide me with some sort of feedback, that would be great.

I am confused about my Math (1a03) :S.

Unaiza,

Have you tried switching Psych 1XX3 to the day course perhaps C15 or C16? It would allow you to end much earlier. Also, you could switch you Environmental Science lab on Friday to the same time on Monday or Tuesday to get off earlier on Friday.

I'm pretty sure you posted the same term twice. What are you confused about for Math 1A03?

Hmm, I am fine with timings just wanted to know if I do have all the necessary courses for year 1, Life Sciences.
And about math, there is a confusion between 1a03 or 1ls3 math. I don't know which one to take and which one's better.

Well, first off, I'm glad your at level 10 on tetris! .... ?

I personally enjoy the new tetris for the DS.

I've been doing this for years and I'm pretty good with multitasking on computers. Plus, I'm able to picture the courses moving around on the timetable in my head. It's like Tetris!

Blackdragon,

Your schedule's great! You won't have any trouble getting to classes within 10 minutes. I can make a couple of minor suggestions though.

For your first term, if you'd like to get off much earlier on Friday and Wednesday as well, you can try to move Chem 1E03 to C03 and then the Chem lab to L43/44/53/or 54.

In your second term, you can move Math 1ZZ5 to C02 if you move your physics 1E03 lab to Wednesday at 14:30. That will get you off earlier on Monday and wednesday, as well as starting later on Thursday and Friday.

Also, you could try to move around your engineer 1P03 tutorial so it's not so late in the day. Perhaps move it to T01 or T02 after you have moved the items around for your second term.

Lol Mitch you're crazy.... you just helped out like 7 people change their timetables (most of whom were engineers) in the past couple of days. You should get some sort of award for this..
