Order off the HP.ca website (free shipping). All the 16GB ones appear to be sold out (no "Add to Cart" button).
Be warned: The prices that appear after you click "Buy Now" haven't been adjusted yet. What some people are doing is buying now and hoping for a number of situations on Monday (when people at HP start working).
1. HP automatically credits back the difference to the credit cards of everyone who bought one at full price off the site.
2. They call in quickly on Monday and ask the people at HP to credit them the difference before their delivery arrives.
(The people that work at the HP call centres are going to be SO happy on Monday -__-)
3. If HP says "lol noobs no reimbursements", then they can either cancel their order before it arrives and ask for their money back or return the touchpad in perfect condition (if it arrives before they can cancel it) and THEN try to ask for their money back.
Personally, what I'm doing is waiting for the price to be updated on their site on (hopefully) Monday and then I'll order one. Worst case scenario is that when the dust dies down, I'll probably be able to find a 16GB one on Kijiji and I'll pay MAX $200 for it. Yeah, these might be in high demand (Sold out all across the US) (
http://twitter.com/#!/BrynaAtHP) but what people don't realize is that they are in such high demand due to the low price. Price goes up, demand goes down (Although I guess there are still people out there that think that the retail price is still $400 - $500). Rather than get an HP Touchpad for something like $250 off Kijiji, I'd rather just buy a BETTER tablet.
