HSR on Google Maps!

Check HSR Bus Schedules, Stop Numbers, and Bus Times on Google Maps!

On a computer and want to save cell phone minutes calling the HSR Bus Check number? Or don't know the bus stop number of a stop nearby? Use Google Maps! I didn't know about this before, but it appears that the HSR has teamed up with Google Maps to bring you bus routes, stop numbers, and schedules for departures all within Google Maps. Simply zoom in really far to a map within Hamilton and you'll see small BUS ICONS. Click the icon to view the bus stop number and basic information about the stop, and Google will also highlight the bus route on the map for you so you can see where it goes. Then, if you click on the VIEW MORE UPCOMING DEPARTURES link, the popup expands to show you actual UPCOMING departure times in real-time! Really neat!

For example, click here for a map of McMaster.

The nice thing is, it's not just Hamilton. Most large, urban centres have partnered with google maps to provide public transit information.
