HTH SCI 3I03 or HTH SCI 3K03
Hey.

Can anybody tell me which one of these classes are more interesting/have a lighter workload (my semester is already pretty busy) and any other pros or cons you have on either on of these classes!!

THANKS!

Both are very difficult courses... You might want to find another course

Yes, I've heard they can be quite memory heavy at times. I could be wrong, I haven't taken any of them but I do hear they are pretty intense.

3k03 is comparatively easier then 3i03 and the prof who is teaching 3I03 this year, kaushik, is horrible. check course reviews for both.

3k03 is a very manageable course. Yes, it requires a lot if work and is quite dense, but if you take good notes and study the slides you will be in good shape for the quizzes. I have not taken 3I03, but like others have said, it is not managed well. There are issues with the professors and with marking. The final take home exam was apparently quite difficult and so were the midterms. If you had to choose one, go with 3K03, but if you want to take 3I03 then go for it, perhaps they have fixed some of the management issues.

If you're looking for lighter workload go with 3K03. There are mini quizzes, very simple, no midterms and just 2 essays. It was a great course and taught really well.

3I03, like others have said is not easy and is not taught/managed well. That said, 3I03 was one of the most useful courses I took. I found it extremely relevant and despite the horrors, I'm still really glad I took it. So think about taking it, maybe when your workload is not so heavy!

3K03 has a lighter workload and is apparently easier. I took 3I03 but dropped 3K03 because I found 3I03 way more interesting. Don't be afraid of 3I03's rep as being a difficult course (it is, and the TAs are terrible). It kind of all worked out in the end (through lots of bell curving) and if you find the material interesting then it is worth it.
