TBH, my judgement is obviously clouded but Sri Lanka deserve this world cup because of the unfairness that they were subjected upon in the previous final.

I just heard about that from a friend...what happened? Something about golf balls? *didn't watch the last world cup since Pakistan crashed out before knock-outs*

Unfairness? I think it was completely fair. Even if the overs hadn't been reduced to 36, there was no way Sri Lanka would end up chasing 281 in 38 overs with Mcgrath bowling.

If you are talking about the squash ball that Adam Gilchrist hid inside his glove to help him get a better grip of his bat, it was completely legal.

And neither Malinga nor Murali(if he plays) has a great advantage anymore as Indian batsmen can play them both without much trouble. You can't know what didn't happen...unless it's determinable through equations/graphs.
