I think it's possible to get a Masters in Biomedical engineering even if you got an undergrad in life/health sciences in some universities including McMaster (M.A.Sc not M.Eng)

Yes, it is. UofT is another school that has this option.

Question about applying to the PA program

Hi, do you happen to have any information about the PA program? I'm considering this as my fall-back to med school, and to be honest it seems like this may actually turn out to be my Plan A (with med school as Plan B). I looked at the academic requirements for Mac, but I was wondering if you also knew about the program at UofT...they said something about one year of professional healthcare experience prior to applying. Does Mac have a similar requirement, and if so how would I get that experience being an undergrad student with little credentials for professional healthcare?

If your interested in other things go for it. You can always apply to medical school at the end of the day. Look around at other courses, minors, majors etc. Theres a lot more to do than you think. If your parents were like mine and said; Doctor, Engineer and Lawyer don't be afraid to tell them what you really want to do. I told my parents and they said, we just pushed you to those careers so you work hard, and it damn well worked and still works although I have opened my eyes to other careers.

Hee, hee...when I told my mum medicine 10 years ago, she looked at me like I was mad.

The PA program seems like a closer facsimile than nursing, I've been pretty impressed by what they can be allowed to do clinically.
