People need to MAN the f uck up.
Seriously, not to be rude, not to be a d ick, but people need to MAN the f uck up.
No matter where I go, the library, basement of CNH, upper floors of student centre, ANYWHERE ON CAMPUS, people don't know how to man up.
Its fine, I understand you see someone studying with a friend, you'll let them say hi, quick catch up, ask a question. FINE.
But if you're going to be a p ussy and let them distract you longer than 5 f ucking minutes, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Seriously. I've been sitting here while some girl discusses how she doesn't know how to tell someone to shut up. I can only imagine she's crying and bitching on any other forum… blah blah, MAN THE F UCK UP.
Then they finally man up, YES! I can be proud!
NOPE.
Two foreign chicks come to her spot and she starts typing what I can only believe to be an angry forum post about a conversation about the foreigners' parents/friends nearby.
Seriously, MAN THE F UCK UP AND SAY SOMETHING.
IF YOURE GOING TO BE PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE, grow up and learn it won't do anything.
F u c king p ussies.

Anyways I'd love to share my special quiet places on campus, but I'm afraid you guys might ruin my holy sanctuary

Seriously. I've been sitting here while three girls discuss how drunk the one ugly b itch was the other day but the boy she liked didn't want anything to do with her he wanted some other girl with a boyfriend and he started crying… blah blah, SHUT THE F UCK UP.
Then they finally leave, YES! I can study!
NOPE.

Seriously, have a conversation, congrats you have friends.
BUT IF ITS GOING TO BE A LONGER ONE, and EVERYONE else around you is completely silent, take the f ucking hint that people are trying to GET SHIT DONE, and f ucking leave you ignorant, arrogant pieces of s hit.

totally agree... its come to a point that i simply cannot get work done in the library unless i reserve one of the private study rooms... i dont understand why people have to talk so loud in the 'quiet' area of jhe... go to the student center... go to a random empty classroom, i dont care... just go away.

Oh that's when you walk right in the middle and say excuse me about 2 seconds after you've passed through.

Go to the isolated room in the very back of the health sci library. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to be loud there. If that doesn't work, my friend, you have super sensitive hearing.

Also, iahs has so many free classrooms... not sure how many are open, but there are tons open for portions of the day, and the mohawk study place is usually very quiet.

Jumping on the "studying complex-looking subjects is hot" bandwagon. That's right... I see you studying fourth year quantum mechanics and I WILL do a double take, sir.
I can give you two pieces of advice, though:
1.) Learn to like cubicles because that'll give you the best probability of finding a decent study space on campus.
2.) Go to Thode
I used to settle with Mills last semester and earlier this semester just because it was close to most of my classes...but then I realized how great Thode is. First floor can get busy, but basement/second floor are great because it's nearly impossible to not find somewhere to study.
One hour break between classes, what to do? Take the extra walk to Thode; it's worth it. (Anything to not roam around Mills during the lunch time rush trying to find somewhere to sit/study).

I see this more of an issue of too many people than too little space...

I wouldn't consider it unfair if staff actually did kick people out for wasting space that could be used for studying. It's probably more reasonable than the school paying to find more quiet study space. I've come to realize lately that there's no shortage of space; there's just a surplus off a**holes.
