Is a D+ considered a failing grade?

No, I don't believe so. I think F (0/12) is the failing grade. You got some number greater than 0 so I think you are okay. Not great, but you passed.

Well, technically, if ALL your grades are D+, it can be a failing grade, or they might put you on probation.
*Cross your fingers* lol

I got B's and C's in the rest of my courses, so does that mean I will be put on academic probation?

depends on the program. if the cumaltive avg is around 3.5 then you might be in trouble. i think a pass is about a C+ for a program. And to pass a course is 50%.
not to sure though...

I think Engineering has one of the lowest needed averages to stay in the program. Health sci is also pretty low from what I've heard, and nearly a free ride. I heard from one of my friends in commerce that to stay in that program, he needs a six. I also heard (don't know if this is a rumor) that if you fail just one class in Humanities, you're out of the program.

From what I've heard, commerce people need a 6 to stay in the program. And if you fail a core courses (not electives i suppose), you're out. But I know people in that situation made it to 2nd year with good CAs like >8 and special permission.
And engineering is 4, I think it's the same for most faculty.

Yep, that's normal. Marks are still being processed as they come in. Also, the University and the Registrar's office is closed today (Dec 19th) due to the snow storm, so we won't be expecting any new marks until tomorrow.

Until Monday. They won't be posting marks on a Saturday as they won't be open.

Yeah, don't think anyone cares that you're an engineer bud. You fail courses for a variety of reasons, not going to class, not completing assignments, not going for help when you don't understand material, etc. Don't act like you're a model student just because you're in the engineering program.
