Does bates provide us with an ethernet cable or do we have to buy one?
Also is there wifi in bates?

You should go the housing office and ask for the blue ethernet cable. They should've given you one when you moved in. In any case, go talk to the housing peeps in Keyes and they should give you one!

As the others have said, you can request a blue ethernet cable which you plug in to get hardwired internet in your dorm. There is NO WIFI in any of the dorms. The only way anyone gets 'dorm wifi' is by bringing their own router and setting it up, though the university doesn't recommend doing it because of conflicting IP's, etc.. but students do anyways.
