Join us for the screening of 'Invisible Children' followed by a discussion. GULUWalk is happening on Saturday October 20th at 12noon here in Hamilton. If you haven't yet joined the team - your invite is still open
The Invisible Children documentary details the reality of the Acholi children living in the Northern Uganda area called Gulu. These children spend their lives commuting from their homes to central safer compounds for the night to avoid being abducted by the Lords Resistance Army. If abducted these children are forced to become child soldiers - a scar that never completely heals even if they find the rare chance to escape. This civil war has been going on for over 20 years. It is time for it to end. It is time for the world to pay more attention. It is a time for each of us to become more familiar with the reality of this region of the world. Join us for the screening and discussion afterwards this coming Monday October 15th at 7pm in the EMR located in Moulton Hall. The discussion will be facilitated by Community Advisor and Guluwalker Patrick Steadman and RLC and fellow Guluwalker Tamara Baldwin.
