IRC Frost Week 2011
I hope you've had a restful holiday, because there are only a couple more days until..
FROST WEEK 2011!
All the IRC events contribute to your Residence's placement in the IRC Cup at the end of the year. So brave the weather with your team!
On Tuesday January 4, meet in front of University Hall Archway at 2pm for the Polar Bear Run. Wear as little as you can bare in a brisk jog on campus. There is hot chocolate for both participants and passersby. We are fundraising for the [email protected]
On Wednesday, the SOCS are organizing the Moonlight Skate at the Olympic Arena, at 11pm. There will be buses heading out from campus. Bring your own skates if you have them. If you forget to bring them or don't own any, there will be a discount on rentals that day. Earlier, at 5pm, there is SRC Capture-the-Flag. Feel free to join the team with the white suits
On Thursday the 6th we have Broomball. This takes place in the Tennis Courts next to the bunkers. Like hockey but with brooms, each residence has a chance to participate in this bristling tournament. Head over at 6:45pm!
Had enough of the cold? Anywhere from 2pm to 8pm on Friday January 7, come to the Les Prince Conference Room with your laptop for a LAN Party! The Mac Lan Club has a ton of games lined up; CounterStrike, Age of Empires, Starcraft, and Warcraft are only a few of them. They're also bringing out some classic N64. Don't miss out.
If you aren't going home on the weekend, feel free to join us at Alumni Field, Saturday January 8 at 1pm, where we will be Sled Racing! If you aren't riding or pulling the sled, you can still come to cheer on your neighbours.
Any Questions? Ask your IRC Reps (stalk them with your clipboard) or ask a friendly FLIRC

If I wasn't disappearing for the first week, I'd be all up in that Polar Bear run. Oh well. Sorry ladies and gents.
Anyways, Capture the flag was kick ass last year

Is it legal to show up naked to the polar bear run if it's for charity?

Boooooo. I disapprove. While I'm not sure I support overturning public decency laws, you'd think that the occaisional nude person participating in a charitable fundraiser or something like that wouldn't be the end of the world.

No streaking!
As CrashPlague said, guys must wear at the least shorts and shoes, and for girls a bikini top, shorts, and shoes. If you want to participate randomly, we'd love to have you there! The route is quite short, and ends in the same place as it starts. You don't have to worry about finding somewhere to stash your stuff.
I'm really excited for Capture-the-Flag, too. The LAN Party was awesome last year, I want to have a huge AoE game (curse you, muttonchops), and play SuperSmashBros.
