Jeff Landry? - Chem 1A03 C02
So from what ive heard this guy isnt the nicest. Since he is a lab coordinator i found it strange that he was chosen to teach and was wondering if anyone has experienced class with him. Is he half decent, helpful, etc. Thanks

Don't do it...

I really disliked his teaching method...he guest lectured one of my lectures and I thought I'd die.. He doesn't interact with students, or make it interesting at all. I mean I'm sure there is some student personality type who can learn effectively with his teaching style... but ugh, not me.

here.
Yea, he's the lab coordinator and not that personable, so all you have to do is go to your labs, and complete them on time, and you won't have to deal with him. unless he is a sub for a lecture.

lol exactly my point... it kind of depends on the person.

Maybe it was just because I got used to Hatala's (who isn't teaching it this year, but was a fantastic instructor) method of teaching, that I found I couldn't really learn from laundry.

Jeff Landry taught in a serious manner, very little jokes and humour. So If you don't mind that he is a great instructor imo.

He is teaching full time this year so not an option lol No matter, i cant get Goward unless i move a bio lab which is impossible (full) and can only settle for C04 with Lock (also full). Im gonna try for Lock but seems like im stuck with Landry :(

Well go into it with an open mind...his teaching style might work for you!! Everyone has a different experience with profs.

Lol I loved being in Landry's class. His teaching is okay, if you're good at Chemistry you won't need to be 'taught' much anyway, but going to his class is still somewhat helpful.

He has a jokes voice, and he actually does have humour in his lectures it's just pretty dry and not always funny. Nothing like Hatala humour, that guy is a joker.

Lol, it's like Stover. He constantly makes jokes and laughs at them but no one really laughs along...

I found him to be a pretty good professor, others I know disagree with me. You won't really know if he's your kind of teacher until the first week with him is over.

Or the first midterm...haha
It took me months, actually, to realize he's not really my kind of prof. He's a really great person though, and really helpful...just not my kind of prof.
