I didn't take Physics 1B03, but Kin 1Y03 is easy course to get a 12 in, just make sure to attend lectures and study a couple of days before the weekly tests. Also, pay attention in the labs as the weekly tests (every other week) have lab-related questions. And you do have to study quite a bit in advance for the exam due to all the material.

For 1B03, I know people who got 12s, but I also know people who failed. It really depends on you and how strong you are in physics. 1B03 definitely isn't an easy course and to do well, make sure you stay on top of the material. It's not a course that you can cram before midterms/exams.

Im not taking 1B03 cuz of the "risk", and even though i took grade 12 physics im taking 1L03 which kinda makes me feel behind cuz all my friends are taking 1B03. But i said to myself i might change it to 1B03 if im ready for it as in my study habits are great. Then i realized if i do switch it ill have a total of 10 hr labs that semester. 1 for enviro, 3 for chem, 3 for bio, and then another 3 if i take 1B03
And well since kin is sort of an easy course should i keep it? or should i change it to Microecon if i can?

I took it 2nd term in first year with Hughes but she wasn't the only one teaching it.. I think much more than 4 people got 12s lol. Definitely 12able but I put a lot of time into it and I sorta like physics (also I was kind of addicted to CAPA and did all the questions the day they came out usually).

By a lot of time do you mean sacrificed leisure activities or do you mean sacrificed time from other subjects?

I found kin to be easy because the material was interesting and weekly tests can be a pain if you have midterms in that same week...but its not that bad, as for Econ 1B03, I am taking that this upcoming year so can't comment it on yet. You should pick something you have an interest as an elective.

Well that depends on the person... I guess I sacrificed a bit of leisure time? (I would've had more free time for extracurriculars probably with a bird elective, but I still had way more than enough time to watch craploads of TV shows from DC++). I'd probably say to take it in term 2 when you've already survived a semester of university. If you have issues keeping your grades up then maybe avoid 1B03 until later on (summer or future years).

physics labs are 2 hours. they arent even real labs. they are more like tutorials. which enviro are you taking? all the enviro labs are a joke for all the first year enviro courses. for enviro 1b03 and 1a03, labs lasted like 15 minutes sometimes and were pretty much tutorials. 4 first year labs isnt difficult especially when 2 of them are more tutorial like.

2nd term has 2-3 times more cores iirc compared to first so it is natural more people get 12s.

The weekly tests for Kin happen every Friday during the Tutorial time-slot (there is no tutorial for this course just weekly tests). And the tests are not Every Other Week that's just for labs.

yea, the physics 1b03 labs are relaxing and the tas are helpful. and enviro 1a03 labs all lasted like 15 minutes so dont worry about those. they just give you a data set and then you go and complete an assignment on it which were all fairly straightforward.
