Lab and Course Conflict!! Help Needed
Hi everyone,

this summer has been super stressful for me because i have had A LOT of schedule conflicts and overlaps and to this day have not been able to get my schedule straight.

I have found a soloution to my scheduling conflicts but in turn ran into another.

I am looking to switch out of one of my classes and take GEOG 2MAC (research methods) with Prof. Mercier.

I logged onto SOLAR and the class for first semester is AVAILIBLE! the core and everything...however all labs are full :S and i cannot select this class without picking a lab.

Therefore i cannot choose this class and am F******. Is there anyway i can still get in and who do i contact about this matter?

What is the registrars email and who would i call about this matter. Help is much needed pls

If this is an elective, then contacting your own faculty will not be quite useful.
You could first try contacting the prof for this course, explain the situation and see if he/she can open a seat in the labs for you. Heres his contact info:

Thanks alot for your help. However what are the chances Dr. Mercier a) checks his email regularly during summer hours and b) what are the chances he can open up a lab spot for me?

No problem
I think if theres a spot available in the core, then there is a higher chance that he can accomodate you in the labs (maybe its just a error from their side).
If the prof is at Mcmaster in the summer (for research or w/e), then theres a higher chance that he'll get back to you soon. I guess you should also try calling him on Monday to see if he in his office for the summer.
If he's not at mac, you could also try calling the Office of Geography at (905)525-9140 ext. 24535 and see if they can help you out. Their office should be open in the summer.
