I took this course a few years ago with Dr. Mills and I found it very easy but labour studies is not something all students find interesting particularly those students that don't know what it is like to work. The assignments were easy and so were the exams but there was a lot of fluctuation in grading depending on the TA so a good TA is pretty important. Participation is a large part of the grade and its easy to stand out in a first year class since pretty much no one talks.

The work load is higher cause you will need to do the readings every week and hand in reading notes and thoughts every week. This isn't a class you can cram all your readings in the day before an exam but if you make notes on the readings you will have very little to review when the time comes.

If nothing in the outline interests you don't take this class cause you will not like. I'm sure there is more practical information you might actually use in your life as opposed to enviro but if its not something you find interesting you will probably won't do well.
