				Labs and Lab Partners

From what I can gather, most (or all, I really don't know) labs are done in partners. I'm just wondering about the lab reports. Are they typically handed in in partners or individually? If there is no general rule for all labs, then I am mainly concerned with BIO 1A03, PHYSICS 1B03, CHEM 1A03, and CHEM 1AA3. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Labs are done in pairs, reports are individual. There were three of us in my physics 1b03 lab group, but I'm guessing we were the anomaly and it's also in pairs.

Don't worry too much about your lab partner - in my experience, even if they're relatively dormant during the labs you'll do fine.

chem labs are done in partners, write ups byself n u hand it at the end of class. bio u have a partner. u write the first 3 together (third one being formal) n the last one u do in a group by hand it in urself the next day at 2:30 or something. not sure about physics.

how do you select lab partners? just random? you just go up to people and ask if they want to be partners or not?

For Bio 1A03, there's one formal lab in which you work in pairs- so one report per pair. For both Chems, they were individual as far as I know but I did both courses in the summer so it might be different during the school year!

Formal labs reports in Biology 1A03 are handed in as pairs.

Physics 1BB3 lab reports are handed in as pairs.

Physics 1B03, Chemistry 1A03/1AA3 lab reports were individual

 You could do that
Or just go choose a desk and the other person sharing the desk is your partner

When we hand in labs, they're usually just for completion marks right? That is, unless they're formal reports?

Depends, some courses they are done together and individual reports, some are done together and together report, some done alone and alone report.

No, all of them are marked.

They're all marked (formal or not), with the exception of physics 1B03. You get marked for completion for all of the labs, and then on some random day near the end of term (though not quite at the end...) they randomly pick two labs and grade them. You leave your lab notebooks in the lab, so you don't know they marked it until the week after, when you're going through your lab book and see the marks in them For me, all of the physics 1B03 groups were 3 people. Each person is responsible for their own lab notebook, though, and you get marked individually on it.
