Thats if you get the high end ones
I believe you can get a mid range one for 1100$

and i wouldn't complain about a 1500$ laptop budget xD

I hate Apple as well, but their iPhone 4 just rocks the competition. They have set the bar, yet again.

They get beaten every once in a while, the Nexus One was better than the 3GS when it was released, but the iPhone 4 blows everything away right now.

The only solution that I can think of would be to nap through at least 2 hours of class with your computer off Seriously though, in some classes, it doesn't make sense to use your computer. For instance, I doubt you will in math class, or in any labs/tutorials. I never used mine in physics or chemistry either. Only boring classesreally necessitiate a laptop, as otherwise, you should be taking notes/listening.
