Last lecture applause
Hi,

Is there some unspoken rule about applause after the last lecture of a particular class?

Depends on whether or not you liked the prof I suppose.

You either applause because the prof was awesome...or you applause because the horrible class is now over But i think every prof deserves some form of an applause after standing all that time lecturing.

Yes, I guess profs deserves an applause after being our lecturer for so long. You wouldn't even go to class if you hate the prof. I remember my last lecture on macroeconomics, the whole MDCL 1305, like 400 people applauded to the prof was amazing.

I'd imagine you do it if you think the class was a good one. I'm sure the prof would appreciate it.

Kinda funny but my prof for phys 1b03 left the lecture hall because we were doing course evaluation. Therefore we couldn't applaud him.

It depends on the prof. In my final first year calc class, Dr. Childs received a thunderous applause after writing "THE END" on the board in big block letters. (His reply was "I think I'm going to cry!")

Jopko got nothing if I remember correctly.

Yeah, my Linguistics 1A03 prof Dr. Moro got an awesome applause, some 500 students or so. She was an amazing teacher so she deserved it.
