"Late" Applications
Hello - I'm a prospective student who applied to the Health Science program in December (along with a few other programs). Suddenly, I realized that I'd probably end up going to UoT - a somewhat intimidating prospect for a life science student with a dream of a high GPA - if the Health Science application did not work out.

After panicking for a while, I realized that OUAC still accepted applicants - and lo and behold, Mac Life science was still open! I applied yesterday. I meet the academic requirements, but are there any considerations that come into effect when an application is this late?

Thanks for the help, and I hope to meet some of you in the near future!

Hey there! Welcome to MacInsiders!!! And congrats on applying for McMaster Heath Sci!

I not sure of the answer to your question, but your best bet would be to get in touch with the Registrar's Office or the Student Liaison office.

You can look them up on the McMaster website (eg. registrar.mcmaster.ca ) or try getting in touch with these helpful people.

Or you can try sending a private message to staff who are members of MacInsiders. Below are a few:

Liaison Officer - Registrar's Office

Liaison Officer - Student Liaison, Registrar's Office

T-Bird
Associate Registrar, Student Liaison - Registrar's Office

Or try:

Thanks for the response!

I managed to get in contact with Ms. Hui from the Student Liason Office, and she said that since LifeSci is based on marks only, the application will be judged the same way it would have been in March.

Good news, then!

I applied May 16, and got accepted May 22 to Life Science, so I am pretty positive lateness is not held against you!
