Letter of Permission - Have to take all approved courses?
Hey guys,

So I sent in a LOP to the faculty of Humanities and both courses I chose were granted permission. However, I only plan on taking one course this summer and sent in two just incase one of them wasn't applicable. I was wondering - since both courses were approved does that mean I have to take both courses or am I allowed to take just one? I am only interested in choosing one of the options but want to assure that it's actually allowed. Thanks!

I can't remember 100%, but it is rather once you get the LOP or after you send in the registration from the other university that it appears on your transcript. It would probably be best to stop by the registrar's office if you happen to be on campus to ask them if the other will appear on your transcript or not

I think I got permission for two courses too last year, but I was unable to take one of them due to conflict. You'll have to provide them with a clear note on your transcript or a letter from the university that you did NOT take the second course. Then again, since term hasn't started, I would suggest you go and talk to them in person about it.

Pretty sure you can't just not take the second course, you do have to inform them in some way.

natlegz says thanks to Faer for this post.
