Ken Jeong with opener Salma Hindy - Friday, January 11: doors open at 5:30PM and show starts at 7:00PM
Salma Hindy, a graduate from McMaster University's Electrical & Biomedical Engineering program, will take the stage before Ken Jeong’s performance. She experienced a fast rise to popularity as a comedian after beginning stand up comedy during the pursuit of her Masters in Engineering. She has opened for Maz Jobrani, performed at Women in Comedy Festival in Boston, and has been featured on a variety of news channels, magazines, and podcasts.
Actor, producer, and writer Ken Jeong is known for his scene stealing abilities in movies such as Step Brothers and the Hangover trilogy. Although he has established himself as one of today’s top comedic stars, Jeong’s career path started off on an unlikely course. He earned his undergraduate degree at Duke University and went on to get his medical degree at the University of North Carolina, going onto complete his Internal Medicine residency in New Orleans while developing his comedy. Later, Jeong headed to Los Angeles and began regularly performing comedy and improv, eventually landing roles in television and film.
This event is open to McMaster University students only. All attendees must present their ticket and a current McMaster student ID card in order to enter the event.
McMaster University alumni are welcome to attend and encouraged to visit the Alumni Association website for alumni specific tickets and information.
