Are the questions from the practice questions/tests/exams/textbook similar in difficulty or harder than midterms and exams?

It really depends. I would say the first midterm they try to make it similar in difficulty to previous years. If a lot of people do bad then the second midterm may (keyword is may) be easier. If a lot of people do really good on the first midterm then the second midterm will most likely be harder. (This is how it was last year).

If you really keep up with the lectures and work, do all the practice questions/tests/exams, understand the material well, is it possible to get a double digit grade like a 10 or 11?
How are the labs for this course? Are there a lot of full write-up lab reports or not? As well, are the WebCT quizzes difficult?
One last question, the molecule of the week, where there a lot of details to it and which day of the week is it done?
Sorry for all the questions Jeremy

Molecule of the week is this thing they do in CHEM 1A03 and CHEM 1AA3 where once every week they discuss a specific molecule and questions about it shows up on quizzes, midterms and exams. In CHEM 1A03, 1A03 MOTW was on quizzes and midterms/exams. But everyone complained about it so I guess thats the reason why they removed it from the midterms and exam for chem 1AA3 but it was still on the quizzes.
That's what i know from what people said on the course review.
This is from the CHEM 1A03 course review by Kenneth:
"Molecule of the week" to the class: every friday, we would take 10-15 minutes to discuss a molecule in modern chemistry that related to the material currently being taught. Molecule of the week was not in the textbook, but did show up on tests and the final exam.

Molecule of the week was a great oppurtunity to justify sleeping in class. Seriously, so boring.

Yes, it's possible to get double digit grade in the course if you always keep up with the material and if you keep on practising for exams and tests.
The WebCT quizzes are easy. There's no time limit (except for the fact that you have to complete it in 1 week). They promote group work so work with your friends on the questions. BUT REMEMBER: It's not the answer that matters but HOW you go to the answer.
MOTW was removed from tests and exams by demand from students. It should be the same this year. So you don't really need to know it in depth. They'll be a question or two associated to MOTW in the quizzes each week though.
