Life Sciences
Does chemistry have to count in top six for McMaster Life sci?

Does McMaster do top six or do they look at overall average?

What is the cut-off this year?

THANKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS S!

No one knows the cutoff for ANY year. Do your best, and hope for the best.

Average is top 6, including the prerequisite courses

Noone knows the cut-off for any year, and since marks from different schools are adjusted for fairness things get even more complicated. Just wait around for your letter of acceptance or rejection. It's all you can do.

Okay, so for life sci....
if it says ONE OF chem, physics, or calculus

does it mean ONE of those is in your top six? does it matter if i took chem first semester? I did pretty bad in it in comparison to everything else and I REALLY don't want it to count.

btw i took eight grade 12 courses

I'm confused about your question...if it says 'one of', then yes, it means 'one of'...

Oh sorry about the confusion! for life sci mcmaster, on the site it says for pre-req's.....its

1) english
2) adv fnc
3) bio
4) ONE OF chem physics calc
5) next highest
6) next highest

so chem doesn't necssarily have to count.?

If it says 'one of', then they only take 'one of'.

Yes, 3-4 years ago...last year, I think the cutoff was 86-87ish, so an 85 would not have gotten in. No one knows what the cutoff will be this year, though (or what the exact cutoff was in previous years).
