I have been trying to sign up for linguist 2L03 ever since course registration opened..but no luck! It's full. I really want this course as my elective. I already took the two first year linguistics courses and loved it, so I'm kinda considering minoring in linguistics. Is there any chance I can get a spot still? Whom should I contact?

You have to keep trying to get on via SOLAR. They may give you a spot but chances aren't much better than if you weren't minoring. Contact the Linguistics and Languages department.

I got into 2L03 easily, but dropped it last month when I realized 3A03 conflicted with my schedule. I decided to take syntax, then semantics instead, and I'll take phonetics and phonology next year. Maybe you should try and do the same!

Honestly, don't worry about it. Just wait until a few days after school starts. That's when everyone starts switching their courses around, which will most likely give you a chance to get into the course you want. That's what I've done for the past 2 years, and it has always worked.
