logging into avenue problem!
Whenever I try to log into avenue it says that the web site is not trusted and I get an error page! Please help, I was in the middle of submitting a quiz when this happened!! Does anyone else have this problem?

hasnt happened to me... what browser are u using?.. i usually find that firefox works best for things like this

Accept the security warning. It's happening because McMaster is too cheap to pay ~$100 for a legit SSL security certificate - in other words, this 'security breach' thing is a false positive. Make an exception.

Once you get past that, you'll get the following message:

Quote:
The Desire2Learn Hosting Facility is currently unavailable due to regularly scheduled maintenance.
The site is down for monthly server maintenance from 1:01AM ET to 6:59AM ET.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please try to access your site again at 7am ET or shortly before.
If you have any questions please contact your administrator.
So in other words, try again at 7 am.

If you have a calendar program that you use, I'd recommend scheduling these maintenance checks in.
I liked ELM better that way - it was always under maintenance. No surprises just because you forgot.
