How long does it take to get a Letter of Permission?
hey everyone. since the tentative timetable for fall/winter 2013/2014 was released today, i found out that two of my required courses conflict. so i was considering completing one of them at York University this spring. Has anyone had any experience with summer school? i know i need to request a LOP from Mac. do i print out the form and hand it in to the office of the dean (im in social sciences) if there is no online submission? Classes start monday.. does anyone know how long the LOP will take?

According to York's deadline dates:

Term S1
Course Start Date :May 6
Last date to add a course without permission of instructor: May 10
Last date to add a course with permission of instructor: May 17

im not sure which date would apply to me?

I would appreciate any help, thank you!!

If two required courses conflict in the tentative timetable, you should probably contact your department so that they can get it sorted out.

As for which date applies, it depends if you contact the prof to get permission or not.

You should try calling your faculty office first thing on Monday to find out what you can do if you still want to take it at York.
