Mac Eng At Santa Claus Parade

Mac Eng At Santa Claus Parade

The Santa Claus Parade happened yesterday, and even though it was raining and the weather wasn't very good, the parade continued and it had a fantastic turn out. Hundreds of people lined the streets downtown around Gore Park and watched as dozens of parade floats, vehicles, and marching bands walked by. The streets were blocked off by police to accomodate the parade, and buses were diverted.

While some groups canceled due to the weather, such as the McMaster Students Union, the McMaster Engineers showed some great Mac spirit and went ahead with their participation in the parade, showing off their Mac Eng vehicles and dressed in their red suits. I wanted to say - GOOD JOB GUYS for sticking it out in the rain to be a part of this year's Santa Claus Parade.

I wonder ...was the student union afraid that they would melt in the rain?

I'd have come if I could have gotten work off. Damn, that's the shame about working during the school year. Any free time that should be spent hanging with friends/doing school activities is practically eaten up by damn work. And especially during the holiday seasons. Working at Limeridge mall during the weeks before Christmas... trust me, we're already feeling the Christmas heat >.>;

I gotta find me some events to attend :(

I know the one in Waterdown (just north of Hamilton) is next Saturday..I think it was just a coincidence that Hamilton and Toronto had theirs the same weekend (I'm sure other cities did too)

kenvin100 says thanks to Maegs for this post.
