Mac Insiders decides if I get in...
Hey guys
I'm a Ualberta student who has applied to Mac for transfer for Engineering I, this is what I'm applying with:
Fall semester:
Calculus I: B- , class avg 2.3
bunch of random arts classes which worked out to about a B
Winter semester:
Chem I B+, class avg 2.4
Physics B-, class avg 2.4
Mechanics C+, class avg 1.9
English B, class avg 2.7
Soc B, class avg 2.9
Also, will I be considered a transfer student in the res process even though I'm applying to Eng I?

Don't use a 4.0 grade system! We don't use that at Mac (we use a 12 point system...) so it just confuses us. Or maybe just me...
So basically you're applying with a B/B- average, correct?
Also, if you are accepted, come to Mac so you can make fun of all the Leafs fans.

yea, I put my letter grade on the left and the class averages in GPA on the right, 2.0 is C, 2.3 is C+,2.7 is B-, 3.0 is B, 3.3 is B+
I have a bit of a soft spot for the leafs myself so I wont make fun of them too much.

You probably have to contact the faculty of Engineering to find out the requirements to be able to enroll in the program. The extension number is 24646.
As for residence, as far as I know, you will be considered as a transfer student since you're using your UAlberta grades to apply to Mac. I could be wrong though. Their extension number is 24342.
In any case, I would say contact the faculty of Engineering and also Residence Admissions. It's probably the best thing to do.

I'm sorry. I used to be a loyal Leafs fan at one point but not anymore. I gotta say, they really do suck! They're lucky that they have very loyal fans, even when their performance is horrible and haven't made it to the playoffs for a few years now. I'm still not happy with the NHL playoffs right now. I'm glad Detroit won the last game though...

That is the main reason why they haven't been doing so well. Why improve the team when you sell out every game? Sure there is the fact that you want to win the Cup. It's a sport, entertainment, but it's also a business and you can't really do much better than selling out every game.

That's the same conclusion I came to in the end. The team will not improve until they lose a lot of their support and realize, "Hey, we need to pick up our game so that we can earn back our fans' support". I read somewhere in an article that the Leafs' fans are either incredibly loyal or just completely stupid. They're not getting back my support until I see some serious changes done to the team. It's really sad...

Haha, I guess you're right. I was just trying to state that I was a big fan at one point, but I'm no longer one.

I spoke to one of the main people at the registrar and sent them all the documents they requested, they say they're working on it

On Monday, call the Eng department.
The registrar's office is generally unhelpful unless you go to them in person...
