Mac Peace Week 2009

Mac Peace Week ’09 is almost here! If you want to have a good time exploring the concept of peace, come out to the daily peace-related activities next week. The schedule will be as follows:

Monday, September 28, 2009
What: Movie night
When: 6:00 – 10:00 pm
Where: HSC 1A6

Tuesday, September 29, 2009
What: Panel Discussion
When: 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: St. Paul’s Anglican Church

Wednesday, September 30, 2009
What: “The Strangest Dream” documentary

Friday, October 2, 2009
What: 17th Annual Gandhi Lecture on Nonviolence Featuring Professor Rajmohan Gandhi
When: 7:00 – 9:00 pm

You forgot the Gandhi Peace Festival downtown on Saturday October the 3rd. It's from 10AM - 2PM and there's delicious Indian food served.

It's not a Mac event per-se, but it's important to get involved outside of the Hamilton Bubble.

There is a Peace March which is really fun as well. : )

The peace festival is sponsored by the India-Canada Society of Hamilton and the department of Peace Studies at McMaster University, so I think it could still be regarded as a Mac event. Since it is also happening in Hamilton (albeit downtown Hamilton), I would still consider it as a part of the "Hamilton Bubble."

Nonetheless, it should be lots of fun!

Haha, I shouldn't post when I'm writing an essay. I meant the McMaster on-campus bubble =p

How 'bout them strikes? will they be dealt with? is **herbal medicine a good bargaining chip?
