It all depends what you want on your diploma...: graduated from a 'loo' or graduated from a 'master'. Plus, our campus is prettier.

I'd like to know too. I have a bit of an idea, and even a little experience personally, but what I know isn't bad enough to call it "down the drain." Not yet.

Lots of employers like the loo more than the master I think

I'd call it "Inside the 'Loo."

I agree, there is no question between Waterloo and McMaster when it comes to co-op.

If you're competent enough it doesn't matter, I know several ppl who graduated from mac (after landing internships) and are making good money, its not the end of the world if you don't go to waterloo.

co-op, regardless of which school makes a difference.

I just have this feeling that it is much easier for students attending Waterloo rather than McMaster to land a co-op placement or an internship. That's my main concern really.

It is. I know people who completely failed first year and still got coops.

at first glance it probably does, that is why they have an interview, where you can separate yourself from the socially introverted kid that went to waterloo

(no offense to the waterloo kids, I just love to hate you!)

That's definitely true. They also have a bigger name than McMaster does for math, most sciences, and engineering. I really regret not putting in more effort in high school and getting in to UW. McMaster might have a nicer campus and supposedly better student life, but Waterloo gives you the edge in the workforce when you're done school and looking to start your working career IMO...

He probably wasn't, considering most, if not all Science programs, have higher cut-offs than their counterparts in Waterloo. I have friends who got early acceptances there with low 80 averages.

That's just something people say because it's a sound bite. (i.e. If you can walk and talk faster, go to ____________.)
