The website originally began in 2006 under a different name and was later relaunched as MacInsiders in 2007.
The site was founded and designed by myself, and in 2007 when it was relaunched as MacInsiders and we became an official MSU club more staff were brought on board and helped build it to be what it is today, such as our VP, Danielle Lorenz (user: lorend), as well as the help of many more volunteers and friends that have given their time throughout the years. This year we introduced a new staff team called Insider Agents who have helped write content for the site, and have recently introduced moderator staff (we currently have 3) that help run the forums, as well as Communication Interns we've brought on board to write some amazing content you read on our homepage all the time

I graduated from McMaster last year, after completing my 4-year Communication Studies & Multimedia honours B.A. The site is now run independently and is no longer an MSU club, giving us a lot more flexibility to open up the site and it's staff structure. We still run events off-campus (eg. MacInsiders Socials) and continue to promote on-campus. For example, look for MacInsiders during Welcome Week as we'll have staff at Clubsfest and around handing out flyers.
