This is our 6th annual event, and it will take place at Kelseys Bar & Grill (Main & Longwood) in the Marauder Room (we're taking over the entire lower level and patio).

MacInsiders Social Kickoff Event is a casual networking party event that is put on by the MacInsiders team. It is your chance to meet new friends, mingle with students from your faculty and classes, have fun, and enjoy food and drinks. Arrive early for FREE appetizers! Plus there's door prizes, prize raffles all night long, karaoke, pool tournaments, facilitated icebreaker networking games, and more.
Put faces to usernames, and meeting MacInsiders members in-person!
$6 Beer-itas and $4 well brand drinks. Bar and drink menu available. NOTE: You can use your student meal card to purchase food.

BUS/HSR: YES! There is an HSR bus that can drop you off right at the Main/Longwood corner in front of the venue. See below for bus info.
We are organizing a GROUP MEETING SPOT on campus for a group to go down together by bus with a MacInsiders Staff Member accompanying the group.
If you live on campus in residence, or would like to go down with a group instead of taking the bus alone, please meet on campus at 6:40pm in the Student Centre beside the COMPASS INFORMATION CENTRE which is located right on the first floor of the Student Centre in the middle near the atrium.

Location: Compass Information Centre in the Student Centre
Look for a MacInsiders staff member wearing a MacInsiders t-shirt and holding a sign.
WHO CAN COME? MacInsiders Members of course! And if you have friends who are not yet members of MacInsiders, bring them along as a guest for a great night.

Here is the bus route. You can literally be there in less than 5 minutes on the HSR bus, and there is a bus stop right at the corner where the venue is.
Get the bus at the middle of McMaster campus, there are busses leaving between 6:44-6:58 including the DELAWARE / UNIVERSITY EASTBOUND and B-LINE EXPRESS EASTBOUND. You take the bus down main street, Eastbound. And get off at Main and Longwood intersection bus stop. Then you'll see a big KELSEYS restaurant sign
If you live in residence on campus, talk to any of the MacInsiders Staff at the event and we can organize groups to leave the event together in groups on the HSR Bus so you don't head back to campus alone.
