Since Kin pretty much only requires kin courses and a calc that probably won't be a problem for a bio minor even if some material is similar.

I would contact an academic advisor to get a definite answer though. And you can ask them all the questions you have about minors with Kin.

I believe it's another requirement that only 6 units can be Level I.

You can take any minor you want with kin. Bio is practical and is not similar to Kin, although it might be if you take all physiology courses. If you're planning on medicine a minor in biochem might not be too far of a stretch however as you'd need only 4 courses beyond your basic medschool prereqs.

What are the basic medschool prereqs?

It varies by school, but generally it's 1 full year course Bio, Chem, Humanities/Soc Sci. Some require 1 yr of physics, Organic Chem. Others have no pre-req's. So really, it all depends on which schools you're considering and check their websites for their admission requirements.

A lot of this information is available on the web precisely because they want to attract a large number of applicants. Macinsider members probably don't know of many secret entrance requirements or any exceptions because there would be little reason for them not to make that information public to attract people from places like McGill, UofT or Harvard etc.

Mac's med school has no pre-req's requirements. They only look at the Verbal reasoning section of the MCAT. You can find all the academic requirements here: http://www-fhs.mcmaster.ca/mdprog/ac...rements .html
