Possible Minors w/ Comp. Sci.?
Which minors are possible to take when majoring in Comp. Sci.? I tried to figure it out myself but all the anti-requisites to courses and such just threw me off and I ended up too confused in the end.

Oh and also as a side note, is it possible to take physics courses as electives when majoring in CS? From what I can tell it isn't, which kind of sucks... I enjoy Physics and I think it would be pretty interesting to take CS and also have the modern physics courses on the side.

Thanks!

Really? I think physics 1B03 and 1BB3 should be available to you...

One of the prerequisites to 1B03 is SCIENCE 1A00, which is antirequisite to ENGINEER 1A00, which I have to take. Also, I don't have time to look at it again right now, but I don't think the required math courses work out either. I'm just wondering if there's some way around that at all, like maybe if ENGINEER 1A00 can be taken in place of SCIENCE 1A00 to take physics... ?

I'm pretty sure ENGINEER 1E00 and SCIENCE 1A00 are almost identical (both are like a 20 minute online training videos :p). I would say go ahead and try to register into 1B03 and see what happens. If mugsi doesn't complain, I think you should be fine. If not, you can probably contact the science department and have it fixed.

You can minor in just about anything if you major in Comp Sci. I can't think of anything that you couldn't (excluding Engineering fields, obviously).

Could I theoretically minor in Physics?

I don't see why not. Really, you may even be able to double major in it. Check with an advisor on that one.

Yep, I got it worked out, and I'm probably going to minor in Physics. I've got my first year set up for it at least.
