The Toronto Star reports that man was able to identify a winning scratch lottery ticket through statistic.

Instead of taking advantage of it he REPORT it and Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. (OLG) pull the game out of the market.



I know I'm a bad person. But screw it. I'm a poor student and deserve to be bad while I'm struggling through school! At least that is what I tell myself when I download movies/mp3 and such.

What would you guys have done?

Ah... I stopped reading out of rage once I saw that he report it.

I really should stop doing that.

Yeah, he originally planned on exploiting it, but then realized he made more money with his day job. It's only after he realized it wasn't in his best interests to exploit it that he reported it to OLG.

Ethics =/= Legality

Awesome that this guy is smart enough to figure this out. Obviously playing these scratch cards over and over probably isn't worth it though. Most of the winnings would be the $3 free plays anyways.

So jealous of smart people.
