Making a hole in your student card
Can i make one? I want to put it through my keychain (lanyard) so it can be with my rez keys and the white access card.
where should i make the hole? I was thinking on the top left since that way i can aviod drilling through the barcode at the front and the back.
Thanks

Why would you need to make a hole in it? You can keep it, the white residence access card and your keys all in/on the key holder thing they gave you when you moved into residence.

Yes, you can make a hole in your student card (several students do this). Just make sure you don't punch a hole in the magnetic strip, otherwise it won't be able to swipe anymore.

Ugly but functional.
I'm not really sure about how you'd go about making a hole in your student card.
Obviously you can't punch through the signature, swipe thing, picture, name, number or sticker which leaves you with limited options as for where the hole would go.

who cares if its ugly? Everyone has one!! seriously, I've seen like 3 people total who dont use one! They're super handy. Plus, you only ever use it for like food and stuff, so just hide it in ur purse!

You can do it, yes - it's somewhat common. However, just know that the hole isn't very strong - I've seen many student cards from people in residence with the corner cracked off from where it snapped around the hole. People usually then just punch another corner, and the same thing may eventually happen. So long as the magnetic stripe and barcode stay intact and all the info on the card remains legible, punch away - but just know that you may need to replace your card down the road if you're not careful.

Oh, and I'll just add that using that little maroon pouch is one of the little quirks of living in residence at Mac that has been around for years, and you may grow an irrational sentimental attachment to it later :p

I was actually kind of sad that they gave me a new one this year. I liked my old one.
