McMaster Student Card = GO Transit Student ID (2009)
McMaster Student Card = GO Transit Student ID
It's official; if your McMaster Student ID card has a valid HSR sticker, it also works as your GO Transit Student ID.
This is applicable to:
Full time undergraduate students
Full time graduate students
Full time Health Science students
and Physician's Assistants
This means that a trek from Hamilton to Union Station downtown is unnecessary UNLESS:
You do not have a validation sticker that also has an HSR section.
If so, you must complete the procedure detailed on http://www.mcmaster.ca/sustainabilit...ml#go transitid in order to obtain your discount.

YES!!! I was planning on going to union this week and now I don't have to!
Why did they only just make this official now?? I know one of my friends already made the unnecessary trip to union.

They had to finalize the system, it's been finalized for a while now (I think one or two weeks. It was posted in another thread)

I would like to point out that GO passes (MacID and otherwise) are actually good for the entire summer as well as the school year. If you commute to union or are just travelling on GO, you can buy 10 rides at a reduced cost.

Those 10-ticket rides are valid as long as you have a valid MacID sticker. You do have to carry your MacID around with you if you are using these tickets. If you are caught without one you will be fined.
