Thanks to all who have posted in the MacInsiders Marketplace. We currently have over 1,800 textbooks for sale and there are still off-campus houses listed for rent (for those still looking for a place!).
A lot of you have sent in feedback on the new marketplace, and the biggest request has been to hide information once you click the "Mark As Sold" button. So... we've implemented that change.
Now when you click "Mark As Sold" three things will happen:
1) The thread will be closed so people can no longer post replies to your marketplace ad
2) The thread will have the [SOLD] tag added to it
3) Your information inside the thread (including email, phone number, description, etc) will be hidden and it shows a message saying the item has been sold.
We hope this will stop users from still getting inquiries into their items once they have already been sold.
