At the moment, from what I hear, not so hot as far as manufacturing goes - metallurgy. There's still huge demand in polymers, and nanomaterials though! And I do think we will always need metal, at least in our lifetime.

I don't reeeeeeally understand your question..... but everything is made out of materials!! There will always be spots for us, at least in today's society.
