Math 1a03 profs
Have any of you had Libor Barto? If so how is he as a professor? Would he be a better choice to Haskell?

It's absolutely amazing to be in his class. He's funny and I enjoyed that he taught through examples and visuals to explain concepts. He's very approachable too.

I haven't been in Haskell's class, but you can't go wrong with Dr. Barto that's for sure.

If i'm not mistaken, Haskell is the head prof for 1a03, and she teaches really well. I was unfortunately stuck with a different prof who I had great difficulties learning from, so I went to Haskell's class for some classes and they were much better.

I also had Barto for a subsitute once in that class, and while he was good too, I actually preferred Haskell over him.

sanchezx likes this.

Just out of curiosity, does every math student in 1A03 write the same tests/exams regardless of profs? And does anyone know anything about dr. Bays?

Yes, every math student writes the same midterms/exams, and I am not sure about Dr. Bays because he was not there last year.

Barto is AMAZING. Extremely helpful and very approachable. I really enjoyed having him as a prof, and missed him in AA3. I've heard great things abotu Haskell, too.

Barto's a good professor, he usually illustrates the topics for each lecture with a lot of examples. He's always ready to provide help and leaves time for students to ask questions in the lecture as afterwards. Has a good sense of humor to boot too =)
