Nearly 2/3 of math 1ls3 is high school review. It's a useless course unless you have very minimal math background.
Math 1A03 also has a lot of review too. I took 1A03 and then did 1LT3. Both courses go through review, but 1A03 covers a couple topics towards the end in more depth, like integration. Also, if you like theory and proofs... take 1A03/1AA3. 1LS3/1LT3 doesn't go through as many proofs! I don't think the 1LS3/1LT3 stream is a bad choice though. I know a few people who plan to take up year math courses. I'm also planning to take a couple upper year courses in the future!

I took math 1AA3 last term and it was easier than 1A03 for me as well.
I had Dr. Martinez-Pedroza, first midterm was really easy however i didn't do so well on the second. In my exam, it was mostly easy MC questions. The review questions that he posted before exam helped me a lot ! Both math 1B03 and 1AA3 are courses that worth to take !!!
