But in all fairness that test was nothing like the previous tests and lots of us were pressed for time...
It says that the marks are up but when I go to the term marks page, there's nothing there D:

Needless to say, even though I did above the average (slightly, nothing to brag about), I may need to rely on this 90% final to bring my mark up ;(

If Math 1f03 is anything like last year, the final will be easier than the tests. I think we're given a review too.

A little OT but does anyone know if a credit in 1M03 will be considered equivalent to a credit in 1LS3 considering the fact that you aren't allowed to take both if you have a credit in one of them?

I want to switch to ENVIR SCI in second year and the requirements state that you need a Math credit in either 1a03 or 1ls3 but I can only take 1m03 since I don't have the adequate prerequisites for 1ls3.

isnt gr 12 calc or math 1f03 required for 1ls3 and 1m03? if you mean youre having trouble on solar then go to an adviser and they will fix it, but the requirements for both those courses are gr 12 calc or math 1f03 so if you get either of those done this term, you should get entry into a uni level math 2nd term

Grade 12 calc/1f03 is an absolute necessity for 1ls3 but not for 1m03. You can take 1m03 without ever taking calc if you get a B- in 1k03.

This is not true at all. In fact it might be opposite. You NEED either 1F03 or grade 12 calculous to take 1M03. Don't know about 1LS3 though. Although I know the first half of the course is mostly review from high school calculous.

You're right that those work as prereqs but they're not an absolute necessity though.

I didn't take 1f03 or grade 12 calc and I have 1m03 next semester as long as I maintain a B- in 1k03 which is advanced functions/intro calc.

He speaks the truth, I did this for economics. You have to get a 7 in 1K03.

Whatevs, honestly 1K03 is a joke of a class that wasn't nearly enough prep. 1F03 is supposed to be way better, even though you'd probably do better in 1K. My friends who took 1F were better prepared for 1M.

Well personally, it depends if you are pursuing to get your average up or a minor in Math. 1M03 gears towards commerce and economics students, there are some topics in this course that will eventually come up in some of your 2nd year commerce required courses like COMMERCE 2QA3 and ECONOMICS 2X03. Well 1LS3 is good to take but getting to that course in 2nd term is hard...since they will accomodate science students first on their listing before any other students. Good luck tho!
