Math 1ZA3 Maple Lab 2
Since the Math dept doesn't use Avenue, I'm sorta hoping someone who figured out this week's Maple assignment for Math 1ZA3 will be able to help me out a bit. Please???

In part 1, it says "Consider the f(x)" blah blah blah. Well it's all fine and well defining f(x) as a fn but then when I get to the commands for finding the local extrema, guess what, it doesn't work! Funny thing is that when I define f(x) as an expression it works perfectly fine. I've checked the textbook, typed in the same exact command and nothing works. Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong? Should I just leave it as an expression since it was done that way in the textbook? It's very frustrating :(

Thanks for your help/suggestions in advance!

Hey I don't know about you but if I had a time machine there'd be a BILLION things I'd rather be doing.

Imagine: the answers to every question ever asked. Ahh, a meet Einstein day, instead of "hey we have a piece of his brain"[which btw is a very weirdly cool line] or meet the aliens who built the pyramids and ride the dinosaurs and save them from extinction. But then we might mess up time and cease to be...

Sigh the limitations of Sci-Fi

Though I do wonder if a ship like destiny from stargate universe can really exist *googly eyes* Or the Enterprise

As for Maple, I think I got it working *fingers crossed*
but thanks anyway

Rush [I think i spelled that correct] is my role model! Man's too smart for his good. And I will admit I am afraid to watch this week's episode b'c I cannot spend an entire week of wondering how Scott and the rest of them get back on Destiny just cuz Rush screwed up BIGTIME!

Ahh, I love Stargate Uni.

But I do miss Sg-1, Daniel was cute

In the sample worksheet you download with it, it says it's sometimes easier to define it as an expression. I don't have the file on me right now, but check the marking part at the bottom and see whether they check if you used a function or an expression. I think they're just looking for the numerical answers and graphs.
